VENUE Centre Stage - Bournemouth .. is located on Queens Road between Westbourne village centre and Bournemouth Triangle (town centre). You can see it from the Wessex Way. It is part of the Pig and Whistle complex. Centre Stage is a very comfortable 160 seat venue in cabaret setting (ie with tables and good chairs). It can be increasded to 200+ for concert setting, 300 for standing gigs. PA is excellent. The room is partly carpeted and usually set out with a space for dancing. Scroll down for a photo of the venue. The Pig and Whistle is a great pub. Smart, clean, comfortable, with a friendly informal feel. Good beer and wine and good inexpensive food. It is well-located in an attractive part of Bournemouth between the town centre and Westbourne. Very helpful and friendly staff.
CENTRE STAGE (above) shows location on Queens Road (Poole Road end) DIRECTIONS The venue is easy to find. The Pig and Whistle (inc Centre Stage) is close to the main road to Bournemouth (A338 / Wessex Way). From the north east direction (Southampton, Ringwood etc) the Spur Road (A338) becomes Wessex Way. At second roundabout on the Wessex Way (Bournemouth Road West Roundabout), take left. Go to St Michael's Roundabout (about 200 yards) and take last turnoff (ie right) into Poole Road. Take first right at lights (200 yards) into Queens Road. Pig and Whistle is a few yards down on the left on the corner. Centre Stage is next door (0 above). There is a large car park which is free after 6pm.
